Tank Requirements

• Minimum Tank Size: 130–150+ gallons recommended due to large adult size and active swimming behavior

• pH: 7.8–8.6 (alkaline)
• Water Type: Hard water preferred

Tank Setup:

• Sandy substrate with open swimming areas
• Rockwork for territories and hiding spots

Diet

• Carnivorous / piscivorous
• Feed high-quality predator or carnivore cichlid pellets
