Neolamprologus sexfasciatus

Gold Sexfasciatus is a striking, gold‑tinged Tanganyikan cichlid known for its six dark vertical stripes and blue‑lined fins. It is highly territorial, aggressive, and intolerant of poor water conditions, so it demands a well‑maintained, species‑only or compatible Tanganyikan cichlid setup.

Habitat: Rocky, cave‑rich environment with open sand areas, mimicking Lake Tanganyika’s intermediate zone

  • Diet: Carnivorous; flake, slow‑sinking pellets, granules, frozen foods (brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, chopped krill, mosquito larvae), and bloodworms.
